Over the years, Randy has successfully delivered large scale technology projects across a wide range of industries including oil and gas, financial services, healthcare, waste management, and real estate. His career highlights include designing automated systems that improved compliance and safety in medical waste facilities, leading enterprise-wide IT transformations in hospital networks, and developing process improvements that saved millions of dollars annually for healthcare organizations. He has also guided projects that enhanced customer experience, improved logistics, and helped companies adopt automation tools long before AI was a household term.
While Randy thrived in corporate environments, he recognized a consistent problem: small and mid-sized businesses were often left behind. The tools, systems, and integrations available to billion-dollar enterprises were either too complex, too expensive, or completely out of reach for local business owners. Randy saw an opportunity to change that.
He launched Zaplicity AI with a clear mission: bring enterprise-level digital integration to small and medium-sized businesses—without the enterprise-level headaches. By unifying websites, operations platforms, and AI-driven automation into one seamless ecosystem, Zaplicity AI helps business owners “zap the chaos,” save time, cut costs, and focus on growth.
Beyond his professional life, Randy is deeply rooted in Utah, where he lives with his wife of nearly 40 years. Together, they’ve raised five daughters and built a life centered on family, community, and faith. In his spare time, Randy enjoys woodworking, often spending weekends in his shop creating custom pieces by hand—a reminder that craftsmanship, whether in wood or in business, comes from attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
